Ja-Ela - Sigiriya To Habarana
Sigiriya is home to the 5th Century, “Fortress in the Sky” which is perhaps the most fantastic single wonder of the island. It is also known as The Lion’s Rock because of the huge Lion that used to stand at the entrance of the fortress within its triple triple-molted molted defense. The huge rock rises almost to a sheer height of 500ft. On its summit are the foundations of what was once a great and sumptuous palace and gardens, complete with swimming pools. On one of the stairways ways the only known ancient work of Sinhala, secular painting’s survive in the form of frescoes of the life sized damsels in all its freshness and delicacy of their original colour. Sigiriya today is one of the world heritage sites and is considered to be the 8th wonder of the world.

SIGIRIYA VIA DABULLA,MATHALE TO KANDY

KANDY ViaPinnawala to Colombo
Pinnawela Elephant Orphanage is situated northwestin the town Kegalla.It was established 1975 by the Sri LankaWildlife department. This 24 acres large elephant orphanage is also a breeding place for elephants. The orphanage was primarily designed to afford afford,, care and give protection to the many baby elephants found in the Jungle without their mothers.
